Self-taught in her chosen mediums of watercolor, pastels and photography, Patricia's art reflects the beauty she sees in the world…

“My work is filled with the magic of light, colors and shadows. I am drawn to the details of old homes and structures; the lay of the land in each season and still lifes provide me with an opportunity to gather objects of my choosing and play with the arrangement and content. There is a wonderful moment when everything comes together – paint, paper, subject matter – and a work of art comes into being.”

Patricia’s work has been exhibited at the Speed Museum of Louisville, The Headley-Whitley Museum in Lexington, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft and she was chosen to be part of the “Kentucky Women Artists—1850 to 2000” exhibit at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. Her art has received numerous purchase awards and honors and she was Winner of the 2001 “Best of Show Award” at Mammoth Cave National Park’s Annual Juried Arts Exhibition, along with being the artist-in-residence at the Park in 2000.

She is a juried, exhibiting member of the KY Guild of Artists & Craftsmen; the Sheltowee Guild of Artisans; Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft; ArtWorksInc, the Visual Arts at the Market Program and is a Roster Artist with the Kentucky Arts Council, VSA of Kentucky and The TN Arts Commission.

In addition to her art and educational programs, she has also completed large scale murals in Burkesville, Kentucky under a tourism initiative, along with portraits of local history-makers which hang in the windows around the town square.
