Jewelry and Metal

I have been an artist all my life. However, I did not know this until I turned 30. It was then that I owned the courage and awareness to explore this talent with clay, fabric, and now anodized aluminum jewelry. For most of my artistic life I have lived in a beautiful state that supports its artists like no other. Kentucky has helped me to blossom. I am grateful. I have an interest in history and the environment. Two jewelry themes reflect these interests: my Earth Glyphs celebrate nature as I dye simple pictures of landscapes and flowers; and my Age Glyphs celebrate women’s history as I dye patterns and motifs from cultures where men and women were equal, or today share a partnership way of living. My mission in life is to strengthen the feminine in our culture. Besides creating jewelry lines and sharing stories of cultures that support women, I also have special projects. I helped the Judds/Kmart partnership by creating the Dream Chaser Pins that were given to winners of their “Power to Change” Program. Other special works I have created: Eastern KY Women’s Leadership Pin, KY Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Pin, KY Hospice pin; Katrina, Tsunami & Breast Cancer Fund-raising pins. These special works give me time to concentrate on “special” and “one-of-a-kind” pieces that help the world’s people. GALLERIES To view my works, I have several KY Galleries representing my works: Berea--Boone Tavern Gift Shop and the
