After working for seventeen years as a school psychologist, I decided that what I really wanted to do when I grew up was hike in the woods and take pictures. In 1994 I founded Wild Walks Photography and today I sell photos and photo souvenirs in fifteen states. That’s the business end of it.

My passion remains black and white photography shot on film in natural light. I develop all of my film and produce all of my prints the “old-fashioned” way by chemical processing in the darkroom. All fine-tuning such as tinting, toning, and “special effects” are accomplished through traditional techniques (though sometime it’s just infrared film!) I realize that digital wizardry has its place (and believe me, I do that too) but as people often say when they view my work – “These are real photographs.”

I take particular pride in portraying the gentle beauty and time-honored culture of Kentucky. My work is for sale in many Kentucky State Parks and tourist venues throughout the commonwealth. I have been a member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen since 2001 and currently serve on its Board of Trustees.
