Bob is a Kentucky native who grew up in Maysville. He always loved working with metal. After graduating from high school, he attended Morehead State University, where he obtained a degree in Business Education and manufacturing. He then went on to get a Master's degree in Vocational Education. He spent 20 years as a contract engineer traveling all over the country doing automated manufacturing for various companies. He then settled in Powell County where he spent 20 years teaching in the public school system. Bob retired in 2011 from teaching in the vocational school to pursue his love of designing and producing one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.
He is now known for his intricate silver filigree work. All his work reflects his drive for perfection. With his knowledge of enameling and the imaginative use of mixed metals, Bob creates some of the most unique and beautiful jewelry which he will be demonstrating and teaching at the Guild's Visual Arts Academy this year.
Bob and his wife Judy came to Berea in 2011 and opened the Lindsay Gallery Studios in Berea's Old Town Artist Village. Bob produces beautiful filigree earrings, pendants, and brooches, alongside Judy, in their studio gallery from April through December.
