Bethany Butters, Our New Artist in Residence!

  The Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen is proud to present Bethany Butters of Steam-Bee Pottery as our new Artist in Residence! Bethany joined the Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen in February 2017, making her one of our newest members! She describes the inspiration for her work as, “an integration between both the industrial history and the vibrant nature in Kentucky by reflecting the textures and colors found in old rivers, industrial parks, coal mines, and the vibrant shades of the hillsides. Donut Days at KGAC!

We have a delicious treat in store for you! The Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen will now be carrying donuts from Donut Days Bakery Thursday-Saturday (7am-10am) to go with your coffee from Creative Coffees! Donut Days Bakery has been serving the Lexington community for over 40 years as a locally owned and operated family business. They have recently opened a location in Richmond and are happy to now serve the Berea community through the Kentucky Guild art gallery. Stop by and see us! Gallery open until 5pm 🍩

Henrietta & Jeffrey Scott

Jeffrey and Henrietta Scott own and operate a Gallery and Studio in Columbia, Ky. They are both retired teachers. Henrietta taught art for 30 years in Adair County. In 1986, she received the Governor’s Award in the Arts for art education. Jeffrey was principal and teacher at Adair County High School. They have attended workshops in Raku at Arrowmont School for Crafts and Appalachian School for Arts and Crafts. Since retirement, their Raku fired pottery has been juried into the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and Kentucky Crafted/ The Market.
