Glass Fusing Class
Join BJ Dille for a day of glass fusing!
Students will make a fused glass square plate, votive candle holder, or small vase of their own design. In the morning, students will get an overview of fusing, practice cutting glass, and will develop their design. In the afternoon, students will pick glass colors, decorative pieces, and their mold, and then will complete the assembly of their project.
Since it will take two days of kiln firings (initial fuse, then drape/slump), completed work will need to be arranged for pick-up at a later date. All materials, except specialty glass, are provided, plus two kiln firings.
What to bring:
Students must have closed-toed shoes, and should not wear loose fitting clothing that could get caught in machinery.
Safety glasses will be provided and required to wear when cutting glass.
If the student wants specialty glass (millefiori, dichroic, etc.), a small fee will be charged
