Intermediate Lampwork Beads Class
Join instructor, Toni Menk for the day! This class is for students who already know basic glass bead making and want to expand their skills. We will start with a brief overview of safety and basic techniques. We will learn to make large and/or complex beads. Techniques explored will include: making hollow beads, complex canes, the use of reactive glass, murrini and dichroic application, as well as using precious metals. We will also make small sculptures such as flowers, turtles and fish. What we do in this class will depend on what techniques the participants are interested in. Students will be provided with basic tools and supplies, but are encouraged to bring whatever additional tools or materials they would like experiment with.
Students need to wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals!) and cotton clothing.
Additional supplies will be available to purchase.
$400.00 for a 3-day class will include a basic supply kit.
